Hello,
I have VMware workstation 10 on a windows 7 laptop. I am using several vms on a host-only network because the applications on the vms are extremely vulnerable and I am using them for learning software security.
Everything is working fine, I can reach the vulnerable machine web applications from my host laptop without a problem until I connect to my corporate vpn. I am using cisco anyconnect as the vpn client and the corporate rules say that no local network access is allowed.
I did some googling and it looks like the best solution for this kind of scenario is to use port forwarding on my vms so I can access them locally. However I am not seeing any option for setting up port forwarding on a host-only network. Is port forwarding only available for nat networks, and will that make my vms as isolated from the outside world as I need them to be?
