Any one know how to change the display screen size on xp guest side - the working area for XP? I had experience that even we increase the whole virtual machine frame size but the working area of the xp application appears fixed in the middle of frame - a small one. If you open a UI of an application, you can only can view and reach part of graphic display such as java applet display.
Thanks.

I don't understand what this means.
When you say that "the working area ... appears fixed", do you mean that:
1. The resolution in the guest didn't actually change. (The desktop hasn't expanded, the taskbar remains the same size, if you go to Control Panel > Display > Settings, it still reports the old resolution, etc.)
2. The resolution in the guest DID change, but applications can't actually make any use of the new area.
If #1, you can:
A. Change the resolution in the guest via Control Panel > Display > Settings, as you would for a physical PC.
B. Resize the Workstation UI window and from the menu, select View > Fit Guest Now.
C. Enable View > Autofit Guest. Resizing the UI window will then automatically change the guest resolution to match.
If #2, you have some something screwy running inside the guest.
Have you installed the VMware Tools in your guest yet? The video driver for the virtual video card is included there.
The tool installed at time but had no effect. Any other configuration or set up? How to know which drive is using?
Thanks.
