can I share my VM from Workstaion 8/9 to Fusion 5

Hi folks,

Got a question. I have a 1TB WD passport drive. I mainly use it on my PC.

Sometime, I like to plug it in to my Macbook Air ( 2nd) gen laptop.

When I open the VM in Fusion, I get a popup that I need to convert it or leave it, I select leave it) It loads fine and can use it.

My question is does it ruin in any way using it between windows/VM Workstation 8/9 and Fusion 5

BTW I say Workstation 9 cause I may upgrade to that.

Thanks

Make sure you always power off the VM before you change from MAC to PC or vice versa - then  this is safe.

Yes... correct.... I do that.

I am noticeing some slowness when I used the VM in Fusion 5, then on Workstation 8. also I am getting a popup when runing on the PC side.. that it cant write to the ....vmdk.... continue....I continue, seems to keep running. But an awfull long time to shut it down. Before it was 1 min now 15 min.

Not sure. That is why I was enquiring if this will cause issues or not.
