XP Host - Winodws 7 Guest

Hi.

I have successfully installed Windows & RC on a VMWare Workstation, and running XP as a host (all these are 32 bit).

Now the Guest cannot seem to see the Host settings and other profiles i.e. Network settings, Audio, and internet settings.

I have set the Share Folders to Enabled.

Can anyone help?

Regards

Tshepiso

thats expected behaviour - a VM must be regarded like a completely different Computer of its own

You do neither need that nor want that. As said before the VM must be regarded as a standalone PC and so it needs its own settings.

To share files between host and guest use regular Windows file-sharing like you would set it up with a second PC
