Hi.
I'm having this issue since I started using dark mode in host & guest, both being Windows 10 x64.
When swtching back to window mode from full-screen mode I see this white border between guest UI and Workstation window. "Fit guest" or "Fit window" isn't solving it so that's not hte root of the problem.
I was wondering if this is a known problem and/or if there's a solution.
Could someone please help me out on this?
Well, I am at 16.2.3 and it doesn't do that on a Linux host, W10 guest
Hi @louyo . Thanks for answering.
I'm at v 16.2.3 build-19376536 but this issue was present also in previous version. I'm not sure if I can be traced back to a specific version.
My guess is this has more to do with Windows 10 as host and its dark mode so I was expecting Linux was not affected and your answer seems to confirm this point at least.
So... I hope someone with W10 as host can chime in and confirm or disprove my assumption.
Soooo... very confused now. In your reply you stated Workstation v16.2.3 and implied a Win10 host... but below your name you state Workstation v11.1.2 and Win7 host. What is your actual setup?
I'm sorry about that. Don't come here often so my profile is outdated, it seems.
I am using v16.2.3 build-19376536 + Win10 host.
EDIT: Profile now updated
No one?
Can someone using Windows 10 try if it's reproducible, at least?
yaa the annoying border around the windows I hate it. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature but I thought it is the Unity window decorations thing so I removed it but the bug is still there I also use dark mode so VMware should fix it I am using a Dell Optiplex 3040 micro with Windows 10 and an i5-6500t and a 512 GB SanDisk SSD and a Windows 11 VM VMware please fix it ![]()

Windows 10 x64, Workstation 17.0.2 ... the problem still exist.
It's a minor cosmetic issue... but when you've been waiting 2 years for someone to look at it and repair it... it starts to irk you a bit...
