Workstation Pro 17.5 Upgrade Hangs

Was previously running Workstation Pro 17.0.2 on a Dell XPS Laptop with Windows 11(sigh), 32GB RAM i9 13900H CPU and 1TB NVMe.

I have been itching for an upgrade hoping it would solve abysmal performance issues of a Centos 8 Stream Guest OS with Gnome GUI running with 4 CPUs and 16GB RAM. I get severe keyboard lag while in system terminal or VSCode in guest and have tried enabling and disabling all NVidia GPU acceleration to no avail. I have put my laptop in max performance mode both in BIOS and in Windows. Regular windows apps on host have zero performance issues.

Sooo. the upgrade tonight which was a most abysmal experience with VmWare product I have ever had.

Upon installing, I answer all the prompts and check all the boxes. Then the installer goes to work and gets stuck on "Status: Beginning custom action logging." It times out after 30, or so, minutes but doesn't terminate. My only recourse is a system restore point in Windows 11.

I have attached the necessary log files hoping that I can get an answer to this Update ASAP.

Thanks

Stuart
