What is your host OS, what is your guest OS, and which specific version of Workstation are you running?

An official what?

I am a VMware employee and a volunteer moderator, but regarding your issue I’m just someone trying to help - getting you to share that information was a good starting point.

VMware Workstation running 40 VMs and 80 vCPUs sounds like a lot to me. You may have a use case for ESXi rather than Workstation, what workloads are your VMs running?
