I have Workstation Pro 15.5 (15.5.1 build-15018445) installed on Windows 10 Pro, I am not even using the Workstation yet to build or install VMs but the installation alone causes my 2nd monitor to flicker/flash and then if I don't move the mouse monitor goes into power save mode. If I uninstall Workstation Pro 15.5 the issue goes away. I tried the VMware Player 15.5.1 and exact same behavior. I have created Windows 10 restore points prior to Workstation Pro 15.5 install. I also tried running a "repair" from add and remove programs on Workstation pro install without any success. There is some incompatibility.
Intel NUC 10i7FNH with 64GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on Workstation Pro 15.5.1 or Player 15.5.1 latest build.
