Workstation 9 - no "Nat settings button" neither "edit" on Linux host

Hi all, I have a problem as the subject says - it is a bit difficult to evaluate software without any support.

I did not found any answers (ggogle , vmware).

Please help screenshot attached.

host OS = Fedora Core 16

I just need to test port forwarding to a virtual machine behind NAT .. it seems it should run fine on Windows - but no Linux ?

Try using bridged mode. I RDP and VNC into VM's running under Linux all the time. I run Ubuntu 11.04.

I do other port forwarding via the router, but that is from the "outside".

If that is not what you are trying to do, perhaps you should explain in more detail.

use the vmnetnat.conf - should be in /etc/vmware ...
restart the service

and in section

Please, if you're going to take the time to respond, at least provide correct and complete information. I.e.

• Path to nat.conf file (as mmmm90 provided).
• How to restart the service

I find it pathetic that VMware has not documented and supported the network editor on Linux hosts. Linux is a dramatically more efficient host than Windows.
