I have been creating a Windows 8 image for deployment in Workstation 9; everything was going fine until I started to sysprep the image.
Therein lies my question:
Does VMware Workstation 9 install additional drivers ontop of my clean Windows 8 installation? The machine syspreps and shutsdown as expected, however on first boot sysprep fails with the following error:
At first I thought there was something wrong with the way I was running Sysprep; however, after exhausting all of Microsoft's recommended solutions I re-created the image in Virtualbox and ran sysprep the same way I did in VMware and it worked without any issue.
