Dear VMware,
please, please tell me what you consider a reasonable timeframe for a product. Workstation 8 hasn't been out for a year and you're already trying to stuff an upgrade down my throat? For what? Windows 8? Seriously?
I'm really inclined to move to virtualbox now. This is pretty much unacceptable IMHO.
