Workstation 8: Can´t Install, Error 1314

Hello Community.

I was looking for new version of Workstation 8 and tried to install the trial version. But I only get "Error 1314", even on a "virgin-like" Windows 7 (64-Bit) version. So I looked around but only found solutions which require editing of the windows registry. But in my case is this no way.

Is this bug just in trial or even in full version?

kindly,

pythoncook

Thanks for your quick reply. This is no way for us. We have to migrate about 100 different and running systems. There will be enough problems by nature. So our users have to use VirtualBox which network stack is very slow.

Did the information in that discussion solve the problem? That reg key would be pretty easy to script as part of the install.

I don´t know if it will help. I don´t test it.

This is - sorry - a poor workaround and it could become an uncalculable risk at day of rollout. Its not possible to install without a workaround, which other problems will be there when using?
