Workstation 8.0.3 cant get bridged networking to work wireless

I have a Win 7 Enterprise host, Win 7 enterprise Guest. I am trying to bridge to the wifi card in my laptop which is also used by the host.

Is it possible for guest and host communications to use the same wifi card?

NAT works fine, when I switch to Bridge the NIC in the guest just cycles and will never pull an IP address.

I've gone into the network editor and manually pointed it to the WiFi so its not accidentily binding to the wrong adapter..no luck.

Please help

Hello dakota

I was also facing this issue after updating to 8.0.3 of vmware workstation on windows 7 and I used vmnetcfg.exe pointed it to my wireless card for bridging and couldnt get a connection. I figured I would downgrade to 8.0.2 thinking it was the update that caused this bridge problem. Instead it was my firewall blocking the internet connection after upgrading.

try looking at your firewall settings or temperary disable it and see if your able to reach out.

Hope this helps peace
