Workstation 7 running as 32bit

Does VMWorkstation 7 support 64-bit version? I installed it on my windows 7 64 bit and it shows running as 32-bit. The installation defaults to \Program Files (x86)\ --32 bit version applications.

Also, it crashes when creating VM's. Anyone having issues?

Hi,

workstation really isn't a full 64 bits software.

The GUi is 32 bits and the rest of components are 64 bits. Then workstation files placed on the x86 directory are only from the GUI. It's ok Smiley Happy

Please, explain in more detail when and how workstation crashes on your computer.

Just remember to launch (and use) the workstations with a user with administration rights. Also check (if you have) the av, maybe is affecting workstation.

Regards/Saludos,

Pablo

Hello.

Check out this discussion for the 32-bit/64-bit information.

I'm running Workstation 7 on a 64-bit Win7 box with no problems. Is it only crashing on the creation of VMs?

Good Luck!

Here's the thread where I posted the dump. Yes, it is crashing on creating the VM's. I looked at debugger but it points to VMservices. Can you tell me where to look?

Thanks.
