Workstation 6 Runs, but unusable on Ubuntu Feisty 64bit

Hello -

I'm trying to run WS 6 on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 64bit, 2.6.20-16-generic kernel. Workstation runs, but so slowly it's unusable. For example, windows XP guest starts to boot, but it takes close to half hour (estimate) to boot, and is then too slow to use. I know what performance to expect, because I ran WS 5.5 on Gentoo on the same box and it ran great!

I don't really know how to go about debugging this issue. Any suggestions.

Thanks!

OK, just made significant progress. I was using 2 processors for my virtual machine (a carry over from WS 5.5). Set that to 1 and now my virtual machine is faster than ever. I'll need to experiment to see if I can create a functional VM with 2 processors.
