Workstation 6.5: Max resolution available: FreeBSD, xorg

I am currently setting up a FreeBSD 7.2 vm workstation running xorg and debating about what windowmanager to use.

At this time, I have vmware tools installed, xorg installed and I can get X-windows up and running using "startx". Comes up fine.

My xorg.conf file is configured using the vmware driver as it should be. My only hangup right now is resolution.

I have a 24" monitor that I am using (actually 4 24" monitors in place), and I seem to be having problems getting the VM running at a resolution of 1920x1200. Even though specified in the xorg.conf for that resolution, running startx doesn't bring it to that resolution. Is this a limitation of the vmware driver? Is there a max resolution I can run the VM in?

Appreciate it.
