Trying to install the latest Vmware on the latest stable kernel (yep I do need a pretty recent version due to my laptop is new and soundcard and other stuff doesn't work on 6.1 so I going for custom 6.5.7) and surprise surprise vmci fails to build.
You know we dealing with this regarding vmware since more than a decade, it never compiles with the latest kernel 
The more things change ... more they stay the same 
Can someone provide an unofficial patch to get this work? Thanks a lot!

Yes you are absolutely correct VMware-Workstation-Full-17.5.0-22583795.x86_64.bundle works.
Too bad that the site offers some old version 17.0.2 by default for linux I mean wtf, is somebody so lazy updating the link for the latest one 
Would save me some headaches.
