Workstation 16 pro

We recently had PC problems with an Ifix client. I was able to use VM converter and flash copy the drive and install it to a new PC with the configuration intact. After configuring it to our IP addresses and some Modbus drivers it is working. However, I have until mid June when the 30 free trial runs out. I am planning on buying the VM workstation 16 pro, but my question is do I need internet service on my new PC for it to accept my 25 digit code? This is a secure domain with no outside links. Any info would be appreciated.

Not needed at all.

There is no activation server logic in place with VMware Workstation.
VMware takes the approach to trust their customers on not abusing their licenses instead of tagging everyone as untrustable.
