Workstation 16 Pro - Bluetooth mouse scrolling has stopped working

Hello everyone
I had installed Workstation 12 Pro for a few years now and ran 2 Windows 10 and 1 Ubuntu in it.
I have now bought and installed the new version of the Workstation 16 Pro. Unfortunately, scrolling on the USB Bluetooth Logitech Mouse no longer works in all guest systems. The rest of the mouse works. If I connect a normal mouse with a cable, everything works perfectly.
I just want to use my ergonomic Logitech Bluetooth mouse without a cable again.
I've updated the vmwaretools. And now installed 16.1. But the scrolling still doesn't work.
Can someone help me please and give me a tip for the solution?
Many thanks for the support.

I use the same mouse and VMware. Running VMware as admin worked for me. Hope this helps 🙂

Great, that's how it works. Unfortunately, it is not nice to run VMware Workstation as admin.

Update: if your mouse's smooth scrolling is disabled (setting in Logitech Options), you should be able to scroll in VMware without running it as admin. This also works for me. Hope that's the case for you as well!

Disabling the mouse's smooth scrolling feature allowed the scroll to starting working in my VM too (w/o opening VMware as admin)! Thanks!

With my Logitech M590 bluetooth mouse the scrolling did not work in the guest within VMWare Workstation 16 Player. I have also disabled the smooth scrolling in the Logitech Options application and it solved this problem instantly.

Thank you for this great piece of information, I would have never figured this out myself!
