with Workstation 14 and Linux 4.13 I also have stability issues.
I ported patch

to Workstation 14. I think it runs a litte bit better but still hangs after a few minutes.
Can someone provide a better patch?
Why does VMware release a version not running fine with latest released linux kernel?
Thanks, your method solve memory issues and can use my favorite application on kernel 4.13, appreciated, hangs after startup, but can live with that. Thanks again.
izzno's method works like a charm. Solves the OOM issue when launching VM's as well.
