Workstation 12 pro

I bought the new Workstation 12 pro after I tried out the trial really cool program.

Although I misunderstood the licensing please advise:

If I have my valid license for Workstation 12 Pro and have a windows 8.1 pro OS software and license

If I want to install quick-books premier on the 8.1 pro VM and another copy of it on the desktop that host the workstation 12 pro do I need another license ?

VDI or something if so please explain

The host and the guest are considered two different machines as far as third-party software is concerned.  Whether you can install Quickbooks or any other software on both depends entirely on the license of that software.  It's no different than if you had a desktop computer and a laptop computer.
