Workstation 12 Pro update 12.5.8 triggered a hard lock-up of my Windows 10 Intel based installation as well as, virtual guests on my instance of workstation 12 pro 12.5.7 do not start

Yesterday, I installed update 12.5.8 released by vmwre for vmwre workstation 12 pro.

This update triggered:

1)   a hard lockup of my intel based Windows 10 pro

2)   vmware guest I have built on my licensed version of vmware workstation 12 pro do not start

3)  attempts to start virtual guests throw the following message on a pop-up window "Internal error".

Questions:

a) what is the simplest and fastest recovery process

b) how do I remove update 12.5.8?

c) how do I re-install 12.5.7?

For your information, up to now I had not had any issues with Windows Workstation 12 Pro.  The update is the source of the problem.

A fast response would be appreciated.

Thanks

I suggest you to un-install your workstation12.5.8 and re-install it to see if can solve your problem. You can un-install workstation from Control Panel -- Programs -- Programs and Feaures.
