Has anyone here successfully installed Windows 8 and subsequently Windows 10 upgrade first on a physical pc
and then do the same as a virtual machine.
Note that once a Windows 8 version on a physical machine has been upgraded to Windows 10, the license key
of Windows 8 has become null and void. It is replaced by another key.
So, say one has 3 retail license Windows 8 keys and 2 pc's.
All 3 license keys are correctly upgraded to Windows 10 and Windows 10 have been activated.
Now, one of the W8 version is installed as vm, using the 'old' (oiginal) license key is used.
Will that work?
What shows up in Windows 8 activation?
