Workstation 11 Does Not Recognize Device in USB 3.0 Port

I'm running Workstation 11 on Windows 7.

When I plug my Western Digital USB external drive into a 2.0 port Workstation sees it just fine.

When I plug the same drive into a SS 3.0 port Workstation does not see the drive anymore, although Windows sees it fine. I believe I've updated the Windows drivers for the WD drive to the most current level. I got the drivers from the WDC.COM website.

How do I resolve this? I am trying to restore a Windows server from a backup but 2.0 speed is taking hours.

Thank you very much.

USB 3.0 support with Windows 7 guest is not supported currently. Windows 8 guest should be working fine with USB 3.0 device.
