Workstation 10 & Windows 2012r2 Server Core

Hi,

I'm trying to install 2012r2 in a "server core" configuration (i.e. server without a GUI).  I don't see the option listed on the menu, nor will the ISO disk boot properly when I set the option to 2012. Here is the error on boot:

Windows Server 2012-2013-10-23-08-10-35.png

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-T

That seems to fix it on virtualbox, not Workstation.

Hello,

Have you checked the minimal hardware configuration for Windows Server 2012 Core?

Try to change the source of installation or check it on another PC.

Hope will help.

Yours, Oscar

Need to boot in BIOS mode change boot order to DVD, map your binary to DVD and continue with installation without VMWare's easy install.

Option becomes available through this process.

My friend, just Enable "Execute Disable Prevention Technology", or No-Execute Prevention Tecnology, or similar, and try again.
