Workstation 10 - Skype for Desktop breaks top menu bar in fullscreen

Windows 8.1 host runs an Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop fullscreen over 4 monitor. This works (since a few years) without any problem.

Now the funny thing, as soon as on the windows host skype for desktop is running, i can't no longer access the top workstation menu bar in the VM. it no longer fades down.
Only way to get out of the VM is to use STRG+ALT+ENTER to stop fullscreen mode.

as soon as i kill the skype process (just closing it is not enought - and MS dont think a "logout" option is better then a "exit" (sic!) - the bar is working again. (dont ask how long it took me to pinpoint skype as the problem maker)

Besides that - is there any keyboard shortcut to cycle monitor layout in fullscreen? (without the menu bar im unable to stretch the vm over my monitors - without killing skype first)

I would'nt need skype on windows if i could get both the normal speaker and the front jacks to work the same time in the VM... but this just doesnt work. (the easy way around this would be to allow more than one virtual sound card... but for some unknown reason this is not supported)

TIA
