Workstation-10 Keeps losing the Internet connection

I installed workstation-10 using windows 7 o/s and keep losing the internet. It says that I’m connected when I’m no longer connected. If I disable the network adapter and re-enable it I am connected again – for a while – then I lose it again. My host computer (windows 8.1) is cabled into the modem and my virtual computer is Wi-Fi.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know the solution?

welcome to the community and raise your issue here.

I guess it is caused by your WiFi, could you please bridge your vm network with your cable network adpater, instead of the WiFi, then to see the VM connection is stable or not?

you can complete the configuration through "Edit--Virtual network editor", then selct vmNet0 in the top table and select cable network adpater to bridge in below.
