Workstation 10.0.1 annoyances?

Hi,

After upgrading vmware workstation from 9 to 10.0.1 build-1379776 (window 7 host)

I've noticed 2 annoying problems

1. I can't mount my usb stick anymore (linux guest) checking the vmware.log i see:

2013-11-22T12:49:48.535+01:00| vmx| I120+ A USB device is about to be unplugged from the host and connected to this virtual machine. It will first be stopped to enable safe removal. With some devices, the host may display the message "The device can now safely be removed."

2. During startup/shutdown (especially with windows 7 guest that downloads and installs a bunch of updates during shutdown) I loose the mouse pointer/focus and can't regain control until the OS fully poweroff

Any hints how to fix/workaround  this?

Thanks in advance,

Michael
