Is the Windows 10 1809 host display using scaling? (From the looks of the screenshots you pasted, it looks like it but I cannot be 100% sure).

If it is set for scaling, try putting it back to 100% although this may not be ideal if you have a high-DPI display (such as 3840x2160 on 15" laptop) as the items would then appear very tiny.

Thanks for your answer, yes, I currently use scaling to 125% with 1920 * 1080 screen resolution. I've tried to set 100 scaling but the result is the same.

Considering it looks like the Windows language you have is Spanish, see if this workaround possibly resolves the issue.

Create a copy of the VMware Workstation Pro shortcut and add the following "--locale ja" to the "Target"

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmware.exe" --locale ja

This forces the VMware UI to be displayed in Japanese. There is no guarantee this resolves the problem but give it a try.

Are you able to start a VM using vmrun?

example:

vmrun -T ws start "path to your vmx file"

vmrun is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation

Have you also run sfc utility on the Windows 10 host to check for Windows system file integrity?

Buttons shown on my Spanish Win 10 1809 with WS 15.0.2.  Probably there is other settings e.g.Themes or Fonts caused the issue. Try to create a new Windows account and log in with the account to see if the issue still exists. Hope it helps.

-Japanese language.

-New local user.

-sfc utility didn't work either.

bluefirestorm thanks if I can get the virtual machine(vmrun) well from the terminal but it's not what I want.
