Wireless netowrk connection Kali Linux

HI Guys

I am trying to get VMware workstation 11 to see my wireless USB network card.  We have tried to edit virtual network editor, and Bridged VMnet0  to the Linksys AE1000 wireless card and now Kali sees the network card but not as a wireless card.  I need Kali Linux to see the USB wireless card as a wireless network card. so that it can view access points.

Any help getting kali to view the USB wireless card as a true wireless card would be appreciated.

In order to directly access USB devices, you need to pass-trough the device to the VM, i.e. detach it from the host, and attach it to the VM. You can find the devices below the VM's window when you open it in VMware Workstation.
