Hello
I am running VMWare Workstation 9 on my laptop with a wireless LAN, I have just noticed a problem, everything works fine in the VM's connecting to the internet and collecting email etc.
However for some reason the wireless on the host machine now no longer works, I am using bridged connections, anyone have any idea's
Many thanks

Hi,
When a computer uses wireless network adapter to connect to a wireless router, some routers can’t allocate multiple IP addresses to the same mac.
The router recognizes the wireless adapter (not the computer) as one MAC address and it will assign only one IP address to that adapter. In bridged mode the guest machine and Host server using two different IP addresses and both IP addresses will use same wireless adapter MAC to connect to the router. in that case router will allow only one IP address (Host/ Guest) to use the device.
Please try with NAT mode because guest mechine will share same IP address with host,

You have to use anoter USB wireless NIC for your virtual machine. Because you can't get multiple IP address over one NIC in bridge mode.
