Windows server 2008 r2: Aero theme issue

Hi,

In vmware workstation 8, I installed Windows server 2008 R2 enterprise edition with following convm config:

3.1gb ram,

20gb hdd space.

In display, Accelerated 3D option is also enabled with default resolution to 1024x768.

Then installed Desktop Experience to access Personalization desktop option similar to Windows 7.

I also heard we can have Aero themes like Win 7 on Server 2k8 as well so,

I enabled Themes service and set it to auto

& in Visual effects tab tuned ON few options.

Then applied a simple default Win 7 Aero theme and since then I'm unable to click on anything on my desktop nor access Task manager via VM menu as well.

The cursor on the desktop keeps shivering/ blinking and i'm unable to click anywhere.

Why is it happening?

All was going good until this Theme issue.

Is this issue due to default VM SVGA 3D (Microsoft corporation WDDM) display driver?

I tried to force Nvidia display drivers but it cannot be installed due to required hardware not found by the nvidia driver setup.

So is it that we cannot REALLY use Aero themes in a VM environment ??

Help meget back to the default Windows Classic theme. Also how to enjoy Aero in VM 2k8?
