Windows application misbehaves in VM workstation

Hi,

I have a host machine Windows 10, in which we are using the VMWare workstation pro.

WPF windows application which works based on the COMM port connection seems working fine in the host machine.
But on the VM on the first try the tool is able to identify the COMM port. But after the Power off and on. Tool is not able to identify the COMM port. But I see the port on the Device manager of the VM.

Is there any specific reason possible that the application is not working on VM but works in the host machine?

Hope you dont use autodetect for the com-ports.
Attach your vmx-file and a vmware.log that was in use while the problem occured.

Wich COM port you need inside of VM?

2022-04-01T14:51:44.968Z In(05) vmx DICT serial1.fileName = "COM7"
2022-04-01T14:51:44.968Z In(05) vmx DICT serial2.fileName = "COM4"

Inside of Log only COM7 will mount to VM

Are the Port Physical od connect by USB Adapters (Host)?

Need also the other VMWare Logfiles of machine including the *.vmx File
