Windows XP not starting

VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)

Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred

The program starts on another laptop with Windows 10 Pro but not with an HP Envy running the same OS.

Hello Scott,

Thank a lot for the prompt answer. 

I am using VMWare Workstation 16 Pro. I tried the Player that comes with the program and the same result. 

I have a virtual Windows 7 Pro and that works perfectly. The Windows XP, as I mentioned, works perfectly on another machine but not on this one.
