Windows Server 2019 Network Adapter

Hello, I am setting up a Windows Server 2019 virtual machine using vmware workstation. It is going to be a WDS Server. My Question is it possible to put the Virtual Machine on the ethernet port as the host which have internet connection and be independent from the "internet". In other words, I want the virtual machine to be cut off from the internet but still be able to connect to client computers to install windows. Is this possible?

Either don't give the Windows guest an IP route beyond your local network (no default gateway if it only needs to talk with IPs on the same subnet), or don't give it a DNS server that can resolve internet names, or both.
