I use Vmware workstation 11.
I installed Windows Server 2012.
I have an MSDN account, so I used the subscriptions download, and downloaded the ISO file en_windows_server_2012_r2_with_update_x64_dvd_6052708.iso
When the installation completed, all looked fine. I then wanted to do a reboot, and suddenly I am stuck in an endless "preparing automatic repair" loop. How can I get out of this loop? I have tried almost everything.
I have done absolutely nothing after the initial installation. Other VMs function fine, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 - no problems. It is just Windows Server 2012.
Please note: I have made a separate VM, in case something special is wrong with just one VM, but the same thing happens there. Stuck in the "preparing automatic repair" limbo.
There are no restore points, of course, the installations is pure, brand new.
Any help is appreciated!!
