Config: ASRock 4x4 4800U 64G memory physical NVME drives. Host Windows 10. Guest any version of Windows.
VMWare Workstation 16 or 17.
Playing video on Windows media play or VLC the sound would have static stutter or video/audio would be out of sync.
What I found. Guest configured with multiple CPUs and multiple NVME drives. Changing from NVME to SCSI seemed to fix the issue. It seems NVME was the main culprit. I also believe using multiple virtual CPUs is part of the issue. There seems to be some latency with video/audio when using NVME and multiple CPUs.
