Windows 8 Installation doesnt detect Vmware's hard drive

At the installation, it says no hard drive found...

What can I do to fix it?

It's the Windows 8.1...

Without knowing how the VM is configured (that's why I asked for the log file) it's hard to tell what's causing the issue and how to resolve it.

Welcome to the Community,

please provide some details (Host OS, VMware Workstation version) and also use the advanced editor and attach the vmware.log file from the VM's directory to a reply post.

I'm using Windows 7, and Vmware Workstation 9...

and the full error is :

"A media driver you'r computer needs is missing. this could be a DVD , USB or Hard Disk driver. if you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now."

It's a window saying :

- Select the driver to install, though the list is empty...
