Windows 7 x64 + VW 14. No OpenGL 3.3 for guests???

Does OpenGL 3.3 supported only on host W-8.1 and W-10 systems? I have 14 version on W-7, and OpenGL 3.3 not supported.

My videocard 1050Ti, DX updated.

OpenGL 3.3 should supported on Linux guest on Workstation 14. What guest OS does you use? Have you installed latest GPU driver?

Besides, what the output of glxinfo -v | grep -i opengl?

My host system Windows 7 x64 with all updates.

My host Video GF 1050Ti with latest drivers.

My guest system is Windows 7 x64.

Does OpenGL 3.3 must work on my guest in this condition?

What application are you running which required opengl3.3 support?

Resolume Avenue

Resolume VJ Software & Media Server - Resolume VJ Software

But ANYWAY Glinfo wrote that on my guest i have only OpenGL 3.2

Blender 3D also indicates that i have OpenGL 3.2.

It doesn't matter which application i start. OpenGL 3.3 was declared, so i suppose that Glinfo must show 3.3 version.

Hi,

PMJI, did you set the virtual hardware to the latest?

Requirements for OpenGL 3.3 are:

Virtual Hardware set to version 12 or later

VMware Tools updated to the latest

VMware Workstation 12.x or Fusion 8.x  or later

Hardware:

 Intel: HD4000 or newer
Nvidia: 650M or newer
AMD: HD 5770 or newer

Before Workstation Pro 12, the VMware grapics engine used D3D render, it might work with your graphics card.

Modify your vmx file by adding the following lines:

mks.enableD3DRenderer = TRUE
mks.enableDX11Renderer = FALSE

If you have a machine that has both a discrete graphics card as well as an integrated card, then make sure that the discrete graphics card is selected.

Good luck!
