Typically I would build an image for Windows 7 by booting into audit mode, installing all software, Windows updates and then sealing the image and capturing it with Acronis True Image so I can re-image our workstations much faster and include software as well as updates. I started to build a Windows 7 VM in audit mode via VMware Worksation and I currently have it the way I want it but my question is would I be able to boot it from and Acronis disc, capture the image and apply it to workstations they way I did before? My reason for this is that I took a snapshot before I sealed the image so I can copy/update it as needed instead of physically building a new on each time I need one.
