Windows 2000 Server VM resize issue

I resized a Windows 2000 Server VM to 4GB from 2GB and then booted the VM to a Knoppix ISO to use qparted. Qparted expanded the volume with no problems. I booted the VM and logged in to find that in Disk Manager I could see that it was 4GB but the actual C: volume was still only 2GB. What do I need to do to correct this issue? I thought upgrading to dynamic disk was bad for VMs? Thanks.
