This has been happening for a while with the Tech Previews. I install it, it has full internet access then I restart and I only get limited. Tried all the options in networking. Right now I'm connected to an Ethernet cable and still no luck. I doubt its the OS but it is something wrong with Workstation. By the way, I have VMware Workstation 11.1 running Windows 10 Insider Preview 10074. The Host is a 64-bit Windows 8.1 running on a Dell Inspiron 7737. Hope I can get a solution.
