I do have a curious issue on the nics of a win2000 guest. On both interface I can see bytes received but none are going out. So both don't get an IP from DHCP
To exclude a host os / vmware wks issue, I built an XP machine with both nics and it worked just fine.
I do have 3 win2000 guess and have the same problem on all of them.
Any idea?
Thanks
PS.... All 3 win2k machines were built using VMware Converter
Thanks
Remove then add virtual NICs?
it's possible that Windows believes that you have moved the network
adapter to a different PCI slot and there is a phantom network adapter
plus a new network adapter.
To view phantom devices
1). At the command prompt, type:
set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
2) Start Device Manager.
start devmgmt.msc
3) In Device Manager, click the View menu, and then select Show hidden devices
Remove the hidden network adapter(s)
