If the host is Windows, then guest screen scaling is available. But if the host is Linux, guest screen scaling is not available except when the guest is full-screen. Why is it so? Vmware supports it on Windows; other desktop hypervisors on Linux seem to support it (although, VirtualBox does not keep the aspect ratio), so I wonder why Vmware does not support it on Linux.
