What are console Tools?

When I install Workstation pro I am asked if I would like to "Add VMware Workstation console Tools into system path"

What, is the feature?

How do I use it? Anyone who knows please let me know.

Hi,

VMware console tools are commands like "vmrun".

They allow you to automate certain aspects of VMware Workstation.
As you ask "what is it", it is highly unlikely that you are going to use it and any tools that you might install who depend on this, will know where to find these console tools anyways.

So the recommendation is to not add the VMware Console Tools to your system path.

I decided to run the uninstaller and apply the changes that would remove this feature from the system. I did check the system path and there was nothing there, even when the feature was supposedly installed
