[WS9] Desktop app in Windows 8 64-bit and the icon of a virtual keyboard

When I run the Desktop app in Windows 8 64-bit, the icon of a virtual keyboard is always displayed on the taskbar on the right. What is? How do I to make it disappear?

This  drove me nuts but I stumbled   upon the solution. Navigate this way.

Contorl Panel -> All Contorl Panel Items -> Nofitfication Area Icons -> Input Indicator (change to of)}.  Other taskbar notifications (network etc)  can also be toggled.

Following your solution, the indication of the language of the keyboard disappears and does not disappear the icon of the virtual keyboard. Why?
