Hi
On a computer in the my network, which has Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate, I installed Workstation Pro 12.
I installed Windows 10 Enterprise on a VM and I noticed that, during its installation, Windows 10 automatically searches for and installs the updates.
Now, how do I configure the VM in order to prevent this?
Thanks
Bye

I made a mistake
Unselect the "Connect at power on" and you have the needed behavior. The "Connected" is similiar to the second screenshot but would not help much. Sorry for my mistake.
From VMware side you can just disconnect the Windows 10 virtual network adapter during the installation... and after the installation you can enable again.
How do I do this? When I will have to install the VMWare Tools?
Thanks

I'm still waiting for your answer.
Thanks

Hi,
To avoid the automatic updates, Stop/disable the "windows update" service and then install the VM tools.
To install VMware Tools in a Windows guest operating system:
To install VMware Tools in a Windows guest operating system without using GUI interface:
cmd
.
To perform a silent, non-GUI with suppressed reboot VMware Tools installation in a Windows guest operating system:
In ESXi 5.0.x and earlier versions, run this command:setup.exe /S /v"/qn REBOOT=
ReallySuppress"
In ESXi 5.1.x, run this command:
setup.exe /S /v"/qn REBOOT=R"
Note: The installer may indicate if a reboot is necessary by exiting with ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_REQUIRED
.
Alternatively, in vCenter Server, right-click a virtual machine, click Install/Upgrade VMware Tools, and enter this in the Advanced field:/S /v"/qn REBOOT=
ReallySuppress"
In vCenter Server 5.1.x, the Advanced field is:
/S /v"/qn REBOOT=R"
Notes:
In a VM of WS12, how do I make sure that the network adapter always remains disconnected during the installation of Windows 10 so that it can not download any updates?
Thanks
Bye
This VM setting is equal to a physical PC with network card but removed network cable.
You can also disconnect it via the vm runtime settings:
