WS 6.0.4 b 93057 - Network not running after VMWare Tools install on linux

Host system :

Windows Vist SP1 Fr

VMWare Workstation 6.0.4 Build 93057

Guest System :

Linux Mandriva 2008.1

I've tried to do all updates before or directly after installation with the same result.

Network stop working after VMWare Tools installation.

Reboot didn't change result.

I'm not alone with this problem it seems but I'm not a Linux expert.

now I've another problem. When I've done my rollback to check if VMWare Tools was the real source of my problems, now I can't install it 😕

In VMware Workstation, I've selected Install VWare Tools.

I've validated message box.

Under Mandriva, I've a Konqueror windows with both RPM & Tar.gz.

I have double clicked on RPM file. Install. write root password and .... nothing happen.

Under VMWare Workstation I can check Cancel VMWare Tools Install.

Just as complementary information, KDE is not started after boot. I'v used local user account, then startx.
