Vmware workstation

Hi All,

I want to buy a Vmware workstation for my college projects before that I have some doubts if u can help.

1)Do u have a student license for a Vmware workstation (or any similar product low in the budget)
2)If I will buy a Vmware workstation can I make changes to my device ID like CPU model no, Hardisk SER no, DIsk ID, etc.

I want to know about after installing Windows OS (for example Windows 10 ) can able to change my (Prosser ID, Hardisk ID, Hardisk Volume ID) using any config file.

Possibly by amending the .vmx file, I’ve never done it.

What is your use case? In other words, why?

We want to make & test data protection software, so we can configure 1 VM system & Clone it to more nos & just randomly modify Hardwar ID it will save me lots of time by manually install & configure each system,
