Vmware workstation guest network question

Hi all,

I have installed VMware 7.1 on my laptop

and it seems that after the laptop is idle for sometime(which results in the laptop going into screen saver and lock)

the NAT internet connection on the guest network will automatically disconnect while i am running an application

is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

Does the problem reproduce if you configure your Guest for bridged networking?

Are you using your Host's WiFi card for connectivity? Does your Host maybe power down its WiFi card to save power when it is idle?

Sorry, is there additional steps to configure bridged networking to use the host internet connection?

or we just use the default like NAT?

Host 3G modem for connectivity, this doesn't happen on the desktop that i use the same modem on

I have considered that, but i already set the windows xp power settings to not go idle
